This years U15/17 National Championships saw three of Dacorum AC’s rising stars competing against the best in the country.

First up on Saturday saw club newcomer Ellie Bostock take on a very strong field in the Shot Put. Ellie was the only year one U17 in the field and didn’t disappoint taking fourth place with a very impressive 14.12m PB throw and setting a new club record in the process.

Next up was this seasons Pole Vault sensation Isabella Turner, Isabella is the reigning English Schools Champion and current UK number 1 so was going into this competition full of confidence. In a hotly contested competition Isabella was narrowly beaten to the Gold medal on countback and taking Silver to finish what has been a fantastic season.

As they say always save the best till last and that is exactly what Godwin Mutandwa did by taking Gold and becoming the U15 National Champion with a PB throw of 42.07 which is the third longest throw in the country in 2022. Not satisfied with that performance he then went on to take an impressive fifth place in the Shot Put with a PB throw of 13.14 which was also the sixth longest Shot Put in 2022

Well done to our coaches and athletes, these performances cap what has been a fantastic season for all of our athletes.
